July 2010

The Agricultural Collection on Infotrac, available on the Bitterroot Public Library website, is a wealth of information on agriculture.  Users may search for articles by subject, advanced search, or in library documents.  “Feedstuffs” has publications covering the agricultural industry.  Academic journals, magazines, books, news and multimedia are all included.  While many articles provide full text, abstracts may be used to request full articles through interlibrary loan at the library.

The Summer Reading Program continues through August 5.  Anyone can sign up throughout the summer.  Preschool story time continues on Wednesday mornings from 10:30-11:15.  Toddler story time continues on Friday mornings from 10:30-11:15.  “This Thursday” presentations take place at 1:30 on the west lawn of the library.  Presentations include musicians, dancers, and didgeridoo players.  The final summer celebration is on August 5 at 1:30.

The Fellowship Club meets on July 8 from 6-7:30 to discuss “You’ll see it when you believe it” by Wayne Dyer.  For more information on the Fellowship Club, contact Joseph at the library.

The Brown Bag It book discussion group meets on July 29 at noon to discuss “Pope Joan” by Donna Cross.  Books for any library groups may be requested ahead of time.  Everyone is welcome to all library groups, free of charge.  For more information on any library programs, contact us at 363-1670.

The library will be closed on Saturdays from July 10 through September 11 due to budgetary constraints and reduced staffing.
